Made a bigger map so I can play with fog. No this isn't what the fog will look like (or the map at all really) it's more or less showing off that I will have atmospheric fog. This'll look best on the distant mountains in the eventual skybox.
Speaking of Skybox I'm having a tricky time finding panorama software for making a custom skybox texture. It's not a big deal, but I will eventually need to find something usable so that the skybox actually looks like an environment instead of flat walls.
I'm torn between making palm trees or totem poles next. Totem poles would be easier, but I like trees... perhaps I'll make some foliage sprites next.
Whoo! Looking not bad so far.
Also I'm trying to think up a cool looking alternative for a lamp I could use for lighting up dark areas naturally while still maintaining the level theme. I already have some plans for other things and I don't want to use fire, although that could look cool on top of totem poles, I want something that won't rely on particles.
