Ugh. I really don't like the look of symbol-based animation, so my hope was that by having more things to move it would look better. Heh.
I'm making this model in hopes that I can make some easy (relatively speaking) animations for YouTube and such without having to draw frame by frame. While I much prefer the look and feel of frame by frame, symbol based is a lot easier to manipulate and create a consistent look, which is why I was extra careful when drawing this model of Hyper since this is going to be his established model for the time being. I think I'll give him his red jacket after I've become accustomed to moving his arms and head.
I'll still do frame-by-frame animations for much bigger projects like Sonic 1 HD and the animated movies I have planned, but this software I bought is very symbol friendly, so I'll be using that for a while until I can afford better, more expensive software that's capable of exporting in HD.
Who knows, maybe I'll make money on my YouTube videos in 2013? Enough to buy better software? Maybe I'll be wasting my time? Who knows? All I know is that I'm in college, writing a book, and aspiring to be something more. ^_^
See you guys in 2013! Which'll be in about... 6 hours and 53 minutes for me as of now.
