Starlit Memories

Oh man now this was something to make!

I tried a few new techniques with this painting and spins on one's I've tried before. I did value planning and did a lot of the main painting on two layers that I kept merging together and used a saved path for extra sharp edges. I also decided to use some of the photos I take for texture reference and actually use them as detail for the rocks which is something I've seen higher level digital artists do. The main forms are still hand painted though.

And finally after some post process to simulate HDR and really bring up the contrast, here is the final image!

I'm so happy with how it turned out and I got to paint Hyper and Nicole again! Love these two so much.
